About

Breahn Riley was born and raised in Doylestown, PA. After graduating from Central Bucks High School West in 2002, Breahn pursued his passion: a career in carpentry. After three years of working for, and learning from, a builder in Bucks County, PA, Breahn moved to Vermont and enrolled in a woodworking apprenticeship. His mentor, John Maynard, offered thirty years of experience in woodworking, cabinetry and furniture building. John sculpted Breahn into a true woodworker with an obsessive attention to detail, an artistic eye, and with technical skills that are second to none. Breahn and John remain good friends and partners of the craft. After returning from Vermont in 2010, Breahn has been designing and building furniture and cabinetry for clients in the Philadelphia area.

Craftsmanship

All woodworking is done by hand in house with not a single outsourced element. We begin by sourcing the best materials and exploiting their most attractive characteristics. During the construction process, we use the very best joinery possible and combine it with refined assembly techniques. All joints are mortised and tenoned. When inserting one element of wood into another, a mortised and tenoned joint provide unshakeable strength. While we have the ability to perform all finishing techniques, we prefer to use a hand applied oil finish. The oil helps maximize the wood's natural color, grain patterns and luster?within. This finishing process allows the piece to patina naturally while maintaining quality throughout the years.

Mission Statement

My mission is to build furniture and cabinetry that showcases the natural beauty of the wood.

Our designs are simple, clean, durable and highly functional. Our standards and philosophy result in cabinetry and furniture that can be enjoyed over a long and useful life.
